How would you define marriage?<br />"The loving, grace-filled, mutually respectful covenant relationship between two adults in which they make sacred vows to be life partners for ever, no matter what happens".<br /><br /><br />"Nevertheless, to avoid fornication [Gk: porneia], let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband" (I Cor. 7:2).<br /><br />Is this not a scriptural definition of Marriage?<br /> <br />Did Paul suggest that "porneia" can be avoided by every man having his own husband, and every woman her own wife?<br /> <br />Can anyone see Paul suggesting an "alternative life style" in which fornication can be avoided?<br /><br />Can anyone believe that Paul would tell us: "To avoid sexual perversion, you should enter into a union of sexual perversion?"<br /><br />Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.<br /><br /><br />And as far as judging the person that is a homosexual, we are admonished to;<br /> <br />Matthew 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.<br /><br />Romans 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.<br /><br /><br />And as far as judging the sin of homosexuality and the teaching of it; we are admonished to “Teach “sound doctrine” and expose those who contradict” <br /><br />Titus 1:9 holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in "sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.<br /><br />Titus 2:1 You, however, must teach what is appropriate to "sound doctrine"<br /><br /><br />Is the following scripture contrary to "sound doctrine"?<br /> <br />1 Timothy 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to “sound doctrine”;<br /><br />2 Timothy 1:13 What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of "sound teaching", with faith and love in Christ Jesus.<br /><br />2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure “sound doctrine”; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; <br /><br />Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.<br /><br />Nowhere that I know of is homosexuality called "love."
