I believe that the conversation matters. If in the attempt to realize the reign of God on earth, we cannot engage one another in respectful and grace-filled dialogue, we might as well not even try.

Monday Quiz:
Guess which one is the retired United Methodist Bishop, and which one is the old goat?
(Sorry, sorry, sorry. But it was just too easy to pass up! It's a joke, people. I love you, Daddy Monk. You are my grandfather and I have nothing but respect for you. I sure hope you are chuckling right about now :) )
I love the picture....Monk Bryan was my first "official" bishop since I had a student appointment in Nebraska conference when I was a attending Morningside college. i also heard him speak at Morningside college. Thaks for sharing your family fun. Rory
I was able to hear Bishop Bryan preach every Sunday when I was in undergrad at Mizzou. One of his associates called him "a cathedral of a man" --so true.
The words I write here are my own, not my denomination's, my conference's, my district's, or my congregation's. Please hold nobody but me accountable to them.
