I know it's just one game, but let me pause a moment to say this:
Royals - 8
Cardinals - 1
Should Women Preach?

I believe that the conversation matters. If in the attempt to realize the reign of God on earth, we cannot engage one another in respectful and grace-filled dialogue, we might as well not even try.

An anonamly, an abberation . . .
I guess we'll just have to wait and see, my friend.
Wait and see...
Know you and your Father are ROYAL FANS, but
IT WILL BE THE CARDINALS TONIGHT
BUT NOT A BETTING PERSON
Wow...if they win one more they'll tie their record for consecutive wins this season (3).
Aim high, Royals!
Me, I could care less about baseball these days. I'm just waiting for hockey season to start again.
Neither of these teams have a right to brag about anything this year. However, I hope the Cards mop the field with them tonight.
OOPS! That didn't sound very Christian did it?
I think the Cardinals have a lot to brag about- like 10 rings baby. You guys may have beaten us by the numbers on the scoreboard, but what about number of Cardinal fans at the ballpark? I've been to a Cardinals/Royals game...lots of red in those seats!
Now thats more embarrassing than a loss.
Hockey----no, no, no
That is where they get into all those fights.
I see how it is. You get ordained, now you can espouse your true theology. Had I known where your true allegiances lie I would have voted against you during the clergy session. Next thing you know you'll be cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bulls, and then... God forbid... you'll tell us you're a closet Yankees fan.
I'm a Cards fan, but my childhood glove was a George Brett model Wilson. I still have it. No rivalry from my perspective, I like the Royals (for an American League team). But gimme the Cards any day (for National League - read "real baseball")
Of course I meant an anomaly, however, anonamly might more accurately reflect the quality of these two teams.
Pastor Dave,
Being a Royals fan, of course, is a deeply theological endeavor. "In hope we were saved. Hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what if seen?"
Will,
The spectacle of a pitcher flailing awkwardly at a curve ball does not count in my book as real baseball. ;) Love that DH, baby!
From the angle of, the enemy of my enemy is my friend line of logic, I say Go Royals! I attended medical school in Omaha where the AAA affliate is located so I do have a natural affinity for the Royals; however I grew up a Cubs fan (on the south side no less). Being a Cubs fan in mid Missouri is probably a lot worse than being a Royals fan.
Go Blue!
Joseph
FYI, a gentleman from our church (MUMC) has additional tix for tonight's game. (We couldn't sell all of our allotted tix so he planned on selling them outside the stadium.)
Andy, I miss seeing Angel Berroa flail at curveballs. There is nothing more fun than seeing a pitcher hit a home run. Well, except watching El Birdos win the last two against the Royals.
Joseph, There is nothing worse than a Cub fan in Missouri.
So this means that the other Rev. Bryan will be at the game tonight?
I sure would take those tickets not sold but my husband has church choir practice tonight!!!!!!
Has had church choir practice on Wednesday nights for the past 32 years.
How are the people in ROYALS LAND doing this morning?
As someone who grew up 90 miles from Boston I am familiar with futility, although at a higher plane. Keep on cheering, things will come around, eventually!
