Andy, I read your contribution to the UM Portal this morning and enjoyed it thoroughly. We, our Baptist church, is very close to the Methodist church in town, both literally and relationally. In fact, we are presenting a Christmas program with a community choir which is actually our choir, the Methodist choir and a few music-loving people who are not connected to a church. It is one more opportunity to reach out to our community and find those who do not have a relationship with Christ. Like the baptist church and every other congregation, there are a few long-standing stigmas that are being broken today. I am excited to hear you speak so boldly about evangelism and the salvation message being shared whenever possible. So many denominations are seen in the world as a place where peoples lives are judged and condemned when in reality, they are places where people are being set free. The best comment on the subject that I have heard lately is the Jesus did not come into the world for the purpose make bad people good, He came to make dead people live. Keep up the good work.
Kyle
I didn't know you and Patrick Moore were cousins! Small world keeps getting smaller... my bro-in-law, also with the 39th, is now back stateside.
